Mindful Moment: Body Scan Meditation
In this mindful moment, we will practice a mindfulness activity called ‘body scan meditation’ by imaging a horizontal light, or laser, scanning the body from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. The goal is to bring awareness to every part of the body, by being present with any tension or general discomfort, and breathing into these sensations to promote physical and mental relief. This activity can be practiced sitting down or lying down, and in a fairly quiet space.
